Après lecture, débuts tout à fait corrects pour le #1 de Conan the Barbarian chez Marvel, tant au scénario qu'au dessin.



La revue contient également la partie 1 de 12 (3 pages) d'une aventure de Conan par John C. Hocking (une suite de Conan and the Emerald Lotus).

La première vague de nouveaux pastiches prévus pour cette année comprendra:

Savage Sword of Conan numéro 1, la magnifique couverture d'Alex Ross est un poil trompeur sur le contenu cependant on
voir que là aussi Marvel, avec Gerry Duggan & Ron Garney aux manettes, envoi du bois.

Différent de ce que fait Aaron sur l'autre titre cependant ça rappellera aux fans l'ambiance des comics des années 70/80 et cela
sans tomber dans une nostalgie facile.

Dommage quand même que le titre n'ait pas conservé le noir & blanc...

Côté nouveaux pastiches, http://perilousworlds.com/ est leur nouvel éditeur.
Le prix de vente des romans sera de $16 chaque, en format 13,2 x 20,1 cm.

Vu que Stackpole est dans le pôle d'auteurs concernés et que je suis toujours bon public pour ce genre de littérature, c'est une collection dont je vais au moins tester un des livre.

A part ça, la série TV de Conan prévue par Amazon ne semble pas annulée contrairement à ce que l'on a pu croire (ces rumeurs! ).
Un article tout frais datant d'hier affirme le contraire (faut aller presque à la fin).

Schwarzenegger à propos des problèmes rencontrés pour “King Conan” :

For much of the past decade there have been reports of the project moving forward in one way or another, only to disappear at length and then re-emerge with new plans. The actor now explains why that has been happening:

“The sad stuff about all of this is when there’s an estate like this, The Robert E. Howard estate… when someone buys these rights, those people now own the rights and they have their own vision of what they want to do and the guy that has the rights is some young guy and he’s trying to figure out how to get his way through Hollywood and this is not easy to do.

So there are people that say to him, ‘why don’t you start with a TV series and then he negotiates for a TV series and that falls apart. And then he goes maybe to Netflix and that falls apart. Then he decides to make a movie maybe… but in the meantime, we have been trying to convince him for years now that the way to go is to come back and hire a really great director and to do another Conan movie and have me play King Conan, when Conan is like 70 years old and he’s disgusted by sitting on the throne and being the king and then something happens after that.

It’s really not that far from creating a finished script. The only one who really has to pull the trigger there is the people who own the Conan rights to do a movie. Let’s go to Netflix or whoever it is, let’s hire a director who’s very creative and can elevate the project to make it a winning project. I hope it will be done very soon because I think it’s a great idea.”
